Wilfried Zaha made a move to a top side back in 2013. He spent three years with Manchester United.
But after only a handful of appearances and what appeared to be a failed experiment he was sold back to Crystal Palace from where the Red Devils bought him.
The Ivory Coast international has rediscovered some of his best form since his return to Selhurst Park.
This has prompted offers and potential moves back to a top side. The likes of Everton and Arsenal are thought to have been closest to signing the winger.
Zaha a Gunners fan admits it was tough to see that move fall apart, but he admits at 27-years of age he is thinking about winning trophies. This suggests it will be another summer of a possible transfer for the player.
Speaking to Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube Channel he spoke of his failed move to his boyhood club.
Zaha said:
“It was nice. Supporting them and having them wanting you at the same time, leaves you thinking: ‘this is amazing’.”
“But things never worked out so you just have to move on as quickly as possible.”
“I was thinking this may happen. But my whole family was watching and it just didn’t work out.”
“I’m 27, trophies is what it’s all about.”
“If there’s an opportunity to win trophies, then 100 percent.”
“That’s 100 percent what I want in my career and what I’m working towards.”
