Bale returned to his club after a successful international break with Wales, when he scored five goals in a 5-1 victory over Belarus last weekend.
He was forced to sit out the 1-1 draw with Belgium due to injury, and the 32-year-old is anticipated to be out for three weeks.
Bale’s dreadful injury record was criticised by Spanish media, with the forward appearing in only three games in all competitions this season.
As he left Valdebebas, he suffered the anger of his own fans.
Fans hurled obscenities at Bale as he drove away from Real’s headquarters, with one fan throwing a marker at his car.
‘F*** you,’ yelled one admirer. Another screamed the homophobic slur ‘Maricon,’ a Spanish term.
Bale drove away after staring at the culprit through his window.
