Video: Cristiano Ronaldo’s insane off-the-ball movement analyzed

Ronaldo is 35 years old and still proving to be the best in the business.

Not even a 16-day layoff, and three positive COVID-19 tests, could put the brakes on him. The Juventus ace carried on like it was nothing and scored within three minutes of his comeback at Spezia last weekend.

A cheeky Panenka penalty later sealed Juve a 4-1 win and Ronaldo’s 70th goal since joining the club from Real Madrid in 2018.

The forward is possibly the greatest scorer in history with 643 goals in 853 games in total for Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.

Insane, right?

But if there’s one that doesn’t get appreciated enough, it’s Ronaldo’s off-the-ball movement in games.

Scoring goals is great but finding the space, escaping your marker, and predicting where the ball will go is much harder – yet Cristiano makes it look like child’s play.
