Ana Celia de Armas Caso is a Spanish-Cuban actress. She made her debut in Cuba as the lead in the romantic film Una Rosa de Francia (2006).
She relocated to Madrid, Spain, at the age of 18, and appeared in the popular drama El Internado for six seasons from 2007 to 2010.
Following his relocation to Los Angeles, de Armas appeared in the English-language films Knock Knock (2015) and War Dogs (2016).
She rose to attention in the science fiction blockbuster Blade Runner 2049 (2017) as the holographic AI projection Joi.
She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role as nurse Marta Cabrera in the 2019 mystery thriller Knives Out.
She went on to play the Bond girl Paloma in No Time to Die (2021) and Norma Jean in the biopic Blonde (2022).
De Armas became the first Cuban to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her work in Blonde.
