On the 5th episode of tvN’s Korean drama “Twinkling Watermelon” (written by Jin Soo Wan, directed by Son Jung Hyun, Yoo Beom Sang), broadcast on the 9th, a misunderstanding between Ha Yi Chan (played by Choi Hyun Wook) and Yoon Cheong Ah (played by Shin Eun Soo) deepens in their love story.
Earlier, Yi Chan thought that Choi Se Kyung (Seol In Ah) had left him an invitation to perform with her band, so he rushed to the venue in one step, only to be resented by her. Even though Se Kyung’s name was on the letter, it was Cheong Ah who left him the invitation and letter.
As Yi Chan struggles with his relationship with Se Kyung, which has gone from bad to worse, the trio’s relationship is about to become even more tangled with Cheong Ah. In the released photos, there is a chill in the air between Yi Chan and Cheong Ah. We can see the stern expression on Yi Chan’s face, which we haven’t seen before, and the panic on Cheong Ah’s face.
The conflict between the two is set to deepen, especially as Yi Chan is unaware that Cheong Ah is deaf. Cheong Ah is also deeply hurt by her Yi Chan’s harsh attitude, crying alone in the pouring rain.
This makes us wonder why Yi Chan’s normally cheerful and positive demeanour has become so cold, and why Cheong Ah, who has stood strong in the face of the students’ taunts, is crying in the rain.
Yi Chan still doesn’t know that she is the “Yoon Cheong Ah” that Eun Gyeol cried out for, so the focus is on the relationship between the two young people, which is full of misunderstandings.
The seeds of conflict between Choi Hyun Wook and Shin Eun Soo can be seen in episode 5 of tvN’s South Korean tv series “Twinkling Watermelon” airing tonight (9th) at 8:50pm.
