On the final episode of “Twinkling Watermelon” (written by Jin Soo Wan, directed by Son Jung Hyun) airing today (14th), the final chapter of Eun Gyeol’s time travel unfolds as he has to leave his father, Yi Chan (played by Choi Hyun Wook), who had a big accident.
In the last episode, Yi Chan spotted a car rushing towards Eun Gyeol and saved Eun Gyeol by pushing him away but got hit by the car instead.
Although he saved Eun Gyeol’s life, he was badly injured enough to knock him unconscious, and Eun Gyeol cried out in anguish that he couldn’t change his fate and guilt that he was the one who caused the big accident.
In the released photos, we also see Eun Gyeol crying as he holds a bloodied and unconscious Yi Chan. There is also a sense of desperation as he waits for him to wake up, unable to change his blood stained clothes.
There are tears in his eyes as he waits for him to wake up, especially as the end of the time travel is nearing.
Nursing his injured father and preparing to return to the 21st century, we wonder if Eun Gyeol will be able to say goodbye to Yi Chan safely, and if Yi Chan, who is still unconscious, will wake up before the end of Eun Gyeol’s time travel and regain his former brightness.
The final episode of tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Twinkling Watermelon,” which will conclude the story of Ryeoun and Choi Hyun Wook, airs tonight (14th) at 8:40 pm KST.
