Julian Nagelsmann has dismissed reports that Timo Werner will leave for Chelseas and not play in the Champions League for RB Leipzig after Bundesliga season ends.
Rumors out of German today suggested that Timo Werner was on a collision course with his current club, RB Leipzig.
The player was said to have refused to participate in the club’s remaining Champions League fixtures.
The Bundesliga side’s manager Julian Nagelsmann insists that these rumors are not true. The player is still a crucial part of all his plans for the remainder of the season in all competitions.
According to Goal, he said:
“Timo is currently, as usual, in my plans to play the Champions League.”
“He is our player and has not signed for anyone else.”
“His importance to RB Leipzig is extraordinary. He has an incredibly good goalscoring rate, which you always hope for from a striker.”
