Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez has been the center of attraction for speculations concerning FC Barcelona‘s transfer business in recent times.
Having arrived at San Siro Racing Club in the summer of 2018, Martinez’s heroics this season has helped him become an integral part of Antonio Conte‘s team.
The 22-year old, who scored 16 times across all competitions before being forced to take a break due to the coronavirus pandemic, now faces a dilemma all rising stars face – whether to act on interest from one of many Europe’s elite clubs and switch camps or to continue growing with his current club.
Former Inter and Barcelona striker Luis Suarez feels he should opt for the latter. The 1960 Ballon d’Or winner, who left Barca for Inter in 1961, reasons his opinion saying Martinez would lose his shine outside of Serie A.

“If I were him, I wouldn’t change teams,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Making a decision on whether to stay or not is very complicated. Although if Messi called him, then it would be easy to think about it.
“However, we’re talking about a boy who is still very young. He has all the time in the world to go for other challenges in the future. Let’s say the truth, he would have less prominence in Spain than he does at Inter.”
