Jose Mourinho has said Tottenham Hotspurs will not play in any more friendlies as they prepare to face Manchester United on next Friday.
Mourinho will entertain his old side United at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium for the first game back from the COVID-19 lockdown.
The Portuguese will not only want to win to keep his side in the hunt for a European place, but he will also want to get revenge on the club that sacked him too.
Tottenham is welcoming back both Kane and Son from injuries picked up prior to the hiatus.
The manager would like to play one more game before the big restart. But admits with a busy schedule ahead it is simply too risky.
Speaking to the club’s official website he said:
“We are not going to have any more friendlies. We think it would be good, but it’s too risky.”
“We are going to do a normal preparation week, starting on Monday and going through to Friday.”
“After that, we’ve two more days and then West Ham, so the next 10 days are going to be busy.”
