Song Hye Kyo is considering joining the cast of ‘Black Nuns’.
On the 13th, Song Hye Kyo’s agency UAA confirmed to OSEN, “Song Hye Kyo is positively considering appearing in the film ‘Black Nuns.
‘Black Nuns’ is the female version of the film ‘Black Priests’ starring Kim Yoon Seok and Kang Dong Won, which was released in 2015. It will be directed by Kwon Hyuk Jae, whose films include “Troubleshooter” and “The Count.”
‘Black Priests’ was a box office success with 5.44 million viewers. Song Hye Kyo is said to have enjoyed reading the script for “Black Nuns” and is positively considering joining the cast. We are looking forward to seeing Song Hye Kyo’s performance as a nun.
If Song Hye Kyo confirms her role in “Black Nuns,” it will be her first Korean film in about nine years, excluding Chinese films such as “I Am Queen” and the “The Crossing” series, since her last film, “My Palpitating Life,” released in 2014.
It will be interesting to see if she can revitalise the stagnant movie market with “Black Nuns,” as Song Hye Jyo was loved by global fans after successfully leading the Netflix original “The Glory” series last year.
