Lionel Messi has not trained with the group after Barca confirmed that he was suffering from a right quadriceps injury.
La Liga is all set to resume this week with the first match to be played out on 11 June. It will be resumption of La Liga after being suspended due to the pandemic.
Barcelona will face Real Mallorca on 13 June in their first match. They then have fixtures against Leganes 16 June and then Sevilla on 21 June.
With such a packed schedule of fixtures, Barca boss is happy that Messi is available to play.
When talking to Movistar as reported by Goal he said:
“It’s not just Messi – other players haven’t trained because they’ve had niggles, It’s happened to lots of them.
“Leo has a cramp that’s not hugely significant. I think he’s perfectly fine and he won’t have any problems.
“It’s the same for any other player. We’ll see how the league goes and what circumstances come up.
“We have lots of games and a small squad. I always want to have Messi on the pitch, of course.”
Lionel Messi has been in top form this season, topping both the goal scoring and assists charts in La Liga with 19 and 14 respectively.
Barcelona will also be boosted by Luis Suarez returning to pitch after a long time as he has recovered from his surgery. He has fully recovered and raring to go.
