Chelsea have loaned Ross Barkley to Aston Villa for the 2020-21 campaign.
The England international becomes the fifth arrival at Villa Park this summer.
Barkley follows Ollie Watkins, Bertrand Traore, Emiliano Martinez and Matty Cash through the doors at Villa Park.
His addition comes as a good coup for the West Midlands outfit with the midfielder boasting much Premier League experience.
Following new additions for Chelsea this summer Barkley became surplus to requirements under Lampard and his loan deal came as no surprise.
The Blues announced details of the move in a statement on their website on Wednesday morning.
Surprise. 🤪

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith also said: “Capturing a player of Ross’s quality is a real coup for our Club and I am certain he will thrive here and improve our team.”
Barkley joined the Blues for £15m in January 2018, and the former Everton star has played 86 times, scoring 11 goals.
