To everyone’s surprise, Cristiano Ronaldo is accused of violating COVID19 rules after returning to Turin. This was commented by Italy minister of sport, Vincenzo Spadafora.
Evidently, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner had to force himself into self-quarantine after testing positive. Unfortunately, the star had to return to Italy while on international duty for Portugal.
Ronaldo played two games for his nation against France and Spain. Although, he did not feature in Portugal’s 3-0 victory over Sweden in the UEFA Nations League campaign.
Consequently, the Juventus forward arrived at Turin on Wednesday evening. Ultimately, Ronaldo received a green signal for traveling home by a private jet.
The Bianconeri said in a statement: “Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Italy with a medical flight authorized by the relevant health authorities at the request of the player and will continue his isolation at his home.”
The Juve members believe that Ronaldo followed all the necessary protocols. However, Spadafora claimed the opposite.
The star faces allegations.
He received questions regarding the breakage of rules on Rai Radio. Spadafora said: “Without authorization from the health authorities, I think he has violated the protocol.”
On the other hand, Juventus knows that they got clearance to fly him back. Also, they are eagerly waiting for Ronaldo’s test results and need it to be negative.
