Barcelona currently finds itself in what appears from the outside to be a crisis. Board members resigning, and accusations of misappropriation of funds making the headlines.
Barca manager Quique Setien believes that problems like this happen at every club. He simply thinks that other clubs are doing a better job of keeping their business private and out of the papers.
Speaking to TV3, the former Real Betis boss wishes things were done differently, but he is confident that it will have no bearing of Messi’s future.
He said:
“These are normal things at big clubs.”
“Perhaps the sad thing is that these crises are transmitted to the media.”
“It would be better to work in a quieter environment but things are like that.”
“I don’t think what happened has made a player like Messi rethink whether or not to stay with the club.”
“I am sure he will finish his career at Camp Nou.”
