Premier League could be cancelled if conditions become unsafe as per Karren Brady

Premier League clubs must make training conditions as safe as possible or could see the league cancelled like other European domestic leagues, as per West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady.

While the likes of the Premier League, the La Liga and the Serie A plan on going on, some European counterparts have gone on to void their seasons.

The likes of the Belgian First Division and the Dutch Eredivisie were the first to do so, with the Ligue 1 in France recently joining in.

The likes of West Ham and Arsenal have already resumed light individual training while a number of clubs still have players indoors.

The Premier League have already discussed ‘Project Restart’ with the UK government, as plans to resume the league by June 8 look to be well in motion.

Brady has talked up a potential return to action but also stressed that clubs must maintain the maximum safety guidelines.

“The key here is to make the environment as safe as it can possibly be because we want to be able to restart the games and finish our season,” Brady said as quoted by Sky Sports.

“To do that we have to be ready – otherwise we’ll end up like France, Belgium and Holland, who have all had their season curtailed.”
