Premier League | Arsenal 4-0 Norwich | Aubameyang scores twice

Aubameyang bagged a brace as Arsenal raced to a convincing 4-0 victory over lowly Norwich.

The fixture against the Canaries was the first for the Gunners at the Emirates since the Premier League restart.

Arsenal lined up with a three-man defence, with Bukayo Saka only starting on the bench after penning a new contract. Aubameyang and Lacazette started upfront.

It didn’t take long for the breakthrough to come and Aubameyang was the man to do so. Krul received the ball inside his own box and tried to outsmart the forward. The Gabonese was alert to it, nicking the ball from the goalkeeper and tucked home.

The second goal came just minutes away and Aubameyang turned provider on this occasion. David Luiz floated a ball out to Kieran Tierney, who spotted Auba in the channel and Xhaka swept home from his cutback.

The first half ended that way but Aubameyang would complete his brace in the second half Another error from the Norwich defence gifted the Gabonese international and he made no mistake to fire home past Tim Krul.

The fourth goal came from an unlikely source in Cedric Soares who was making his debut for the club since joining from Southampton in January.

Aubameyang’s brace takes him to 19 goals for the season. He’s now joint top-scorer with Jamie Vardy in the race for the golden boot.
