First stills for Park Gyu Young, the female lead of A Good Day To Be A Dog have been released.
MBC’s new Wednesday drama “A Good Day To Be A Dog”, set to premiere on Wednesday, 11 October. The k-drama directed by Kim Dae Woong and written by Baek In Ah, is a fantasy romance drama about a woman Han Hae Na (Park Gyu Young) who is cursed to turn into a dog when she kisses from midnight to 6 AM and it continues to repeat everyday until she kisses the same person in her dog appearance but this time she kisses Jin Seo Won (Cha Eun Woo) who is afraid of dogs and thus hilarity ensues.
It is based on the NAVER Webtoon of the same name, A Good Day To Be A Dog (writer Lee Hye), which was loved by readers for its novel concept of turning into a dog when kissed and its solid story with many twists and turns.
Park Gyu Young plays Han Hae Na, a high school Korean language teacher who is cursed to turn into a dog when she is kissed. She is a precarious soul caught between a human life and a dog life, as she appears to have her life on a solid footing with her pretty, smart, and fun personality, but when she kisses someone, she turns into a dog from 12pm to 6am every night.
In the stills released today, Park Gyu Young’s bright, good-natured smile shows off her perfect harmony with the webtoon’s Han Hae Na. Standing in front of the blackboard and gazing affectionately at her students, Park’s gentle smile brightens up the classroom.
In another still, she stares at someone with a slightly stern expression that belies her cheerful demeanour, leaving the audience guessing as to what’s going on with her. Her complete immersion in the character, from her appearance to her facial expressions, gives us a glimpse into the character of Han Hae Na.
Park Gyu Young will bring her own colour to the character of ‘Han Hae Na’, who has a lovely and mysterious charm, and will deliver fresh excitement to everyone with her performance in the fantasy romance kdrama. With the novel idea of turning into a dog when kissed, we can’t wait to see what kind of fantastic chemistry she will have with Cha Eun Woo who plays Jin Seo Won the main lead, who is afraid of dogs.
