Arsenal have carried forward the process of the influx of young talents into their academy with the signing of Anass Salah-Eddine.
He becomes the club’s sixth signing of the summer after Pablo Mari, Cedric Soares, Willian, and fellow youngsters George Lewis and Tim Akinola.
The 18-year old Dutchman has already trained with his new team-mates and will compete for a spot in the club’s Under-23 team. He will join up with the Professional Development Phase before next season.
“It feels great to join a massive club like Arsenal. It’s a good environment for me to work on my development and hopefully, through the academy, I can become a first-team player,” Salah-Eddine told the official club website.
Salah-Eddine then went on to talk about his style of play. He highlighted that he is creative, ambipedal, and can contribute to going forward as well as tracking back.
“I’m a central midfielder and I like to play box to box. Offensively I’m a creative player and I can play with my left or right foot,” he added.
“I score goals and get assists, and defensively I like to think I do my bit too, especially in the transition.”
