NewJeans Will Be Taking a Break After Celebrating Their 2nd Debut Anniversary

The girl group will be focusing on resting and recharging.

After their recent celebration, NewJeans will be taking some time off.

ADOR announced on their official account that the NewJeans members have put in a lot of effort to deliver amazing performances and achieve new milestones despite the challenges.

As a result, they will be taking a break to recharge before preparing for their next exciting project for their fans.

ADOR also promised to provide fans with plenty of surprising content and updates during the break, so fans should stay tuned and continue showing their support.

“The NewJeans members have worked their very hardest to put on fantastic performances and reach new heights despite everything that’s happened. For that reason, they’ll be taking a well-deserved rest, after which they’ll be back to getting ready for their next exciting project for their fans”.

“We’ll be giving you plenty of surprising content and updates in the meantime, so be on the lookout for that and keep sending your love.”

NewJeans members recently celebrated their 2nd debut anniversary on ADOR, expressing gratitude for the past two years and looking forward to facing future challenges together.

The group acknowledged that the past two years have been filled with ups and downs, but credited their fans, Bunnies, for their unwavering support and love that helped them grow and learn.

“Two years have passed like a flash. There will be challenges in the future, but we believe that we can make it with the members together”, adding “Two years have been like a dream. There were tough and difficult times but thanks to Bunnies (NewJeans’s fandom), we were able to grow and learn more through giving and receiving love and energy.”

However, NewJeans faced controversy when British band Shakatak accused them of plagiarizing their song “Easier Said Than Done” in NewJeans’s new song “Bubble Gum”.

ADOR refuted the plagiarism accusation, emphasizing the differences in chord progression, bpm, overall mood, and flow of the songs.

NewJeans recently dropped their Japanese single “Supernatural” and held a fanmeeting at Tokyo Dome with 90,000 attendees.

The cover performance of “Aoi Sangosho” at the fanmeeting became a popular topic of discussion.
