Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, who is the better footballer between the two? This is a question that has been dividing opinions among the football fans for a quite while now.
The duo have been dominating football for the better part of the last 15 years. Ballon d’Or awards, golden boots, UEFA Best Player medals, among other personal accolades, have since come either Ronaldo’s or Messi’s way.
Speaking in an interview with Goal, Nemanja Matic recently weighed in on the Ronaldo-Messi debate.
“They are different, they are different. Ronaldo, of course, he had talent but most of his success, he made because of his hard work,” Matic said.
“Messi is talented. I’m not saying that he didn’t work, for sure he worked, but they are different,
“For me, it is hard to say who is the best. I don’t know who is better from those two players, but I’m sure both of them are maybe the best players in football history.”
