Jose Mourinho has faced off with Pep Guardiola several times. Previously they locked horns at Inter Milan and Real Madrid when Guardiola was at Barcelona.
During the Catalan’s time at Manchester City, that rivalry has continued during Mourinho’s stints with Manchester United and Tottenham.
The Special One was a critic of Manchester City escaping punishment after breaching UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules. He has continued in the same vein when asked about Lionel Messi’s desire for adventures new.
City were linked with Messi and Mourinho has coyly suggested that only a club that does not care for the Financial Fair Play rules could have signed him.
"Messi could only go to a team that doesn't respect Financial Fair Play, so not Tottenham for sure."
