Manchester United are showing signs of some great form and attacking play.
With front men Martial, Rashford, Greenwood, and Ighalo all showing a good eye for goal.
However, it’s no secret the Red Devils have lacked a predatory goal scorer since the days of Robin Van Persie.
The former assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson from back in the glory days at Old Trafford Rene Meulensteen believes that a true number nine is what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side needs more than a winger.
Speaking to Talk Sport he said: “They brought Ighalo in as a player who could help United in certain times and he’s actually done very, very well.”
“But if you look at the other players there, Rashford, Martial, they’re not really out-and-out strikers.”
“Greenwood, a young player coming up, it’s the same thing there.”
“A lot of chances and goals can be created from wide areas, Sancho is actually the same player.”
“What I think Man United are missing is a striker of the caliber of Robert Lewandowski.”
“Somebody up there who can hold the line, link play, but when it comes to finishing chances in and outside the box, that sort of player, they are hard to come by.”
