Norwich City will face Arsenal on December 26, 2021 at 15:00 UTC at Carrow Road stadium in Norwich, England. The game is a Premier League encounter. Arsenal seek to keep their chase of a top-four spot on track when they visit Premier League bottom side Norwich City on Boxing Day, following four straight wins in league and cup.
After cruising to their 10th top-flight victory at Leeds last time out, and then calmly progressing to the EFL Cup semi-finals, the Gunners now face a home club that has won just twice all season.
After beginning the month with back-to-back defeats, Arsenal appeared energised by manager Mikel Arteta’s disciplinary action against their captain, scoring 14 goals in four consecutive wins in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s absence.
With a much-changed lineup, the Gunners followed up their nine points from nine in the Premier League with a 5-1 win against Sunderland in the EFL Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday, with cup specialist Eddie Nketiah scoring a hat-trick for the North London club. Charlie Patino, eighteen, also scored against the Black Cats, capping off a flawless display from Arteta’s second string and setting up a tense semi-final clash with Liverpool next month.
Arsenal have gone on to register a dominant win over Leeds last weekend before comfortably progressing in the cup after their recent London derby win over West Ham pushed them into the top four for the first time since October 2020. As a result, they will be hopeful of retaining their Boxing Day record, which has seen the club lose only twice in their last 23 games played on December 26.
Only Liverpool and Manchester City have scored more points than the Gunners in the last six league games, but they have struggled significantly more on the road. Prior to this week’s trip to Carrow Road, Arsenal had lost five of their nine Premier League away games, compared to seven victories from nine at home.
