Ahead of its premiere, JTBC’s new Korean drama “Strong Girl Namsoon” (written by Baek Mi Kyung, directed by Kim Jung Sik and Lee Kyung Sik) has released a first look at Kang Nam Soon (played by Lee Yoo Mi), Geum Joo (played by Kim Jung Eun), and Gil Joong Gan (played by Kim Hae Sook) as they set out to find their lost family.
This raises the curiosity of how Kang Soon’s spectacular entry into Korea will unfold and the fateful reunion of the three mothers and daughters as they turn towards each other.
“Strong Girl Namsoon” is a comic crime drama in which three mothers and daughters, who are innately endowed with incredible strength, uncover the truth behind a new drug crime centred in Gangnam.
Six years after “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” which broke new ground in the K-female heroine genre, the series is back with an expanded worldview.
Writer Baek Mi Kyung, who created the first female heroine in a Korean drama, and director Kim Jung Shik of “Work Later, Drink Now” have teamed up to ensure completeness.
In addition, the performances of the three mother-daughter heroes, Lee Yoo Mi, Kim Jung Eun, and Kim Hae Sook, as well as Ong Seong Woo and Byun Woo Seok, will make the first episode even more eagerly anticipated.
In the meantime, the released photos show the awakening of our lead girl Kang Nam Soon. First of all, Kang Nam Soon’s cheerful smile as she spends a peaceful day with her Mongolian dad, Koko (Cheguddh Cherenbald), who raised her, catches the eye.
We also notice a strange change. When her horse, who has been by her side for many years, passes away, she is devastated. Afterwards, her eyes sparkle as if she’s awakened to something, raising curiosity about the change.
