Having scored 16 goals from 31 matches in all competitions this season, Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez is enjoying an impressive breakthrough season so far.
Barcelona, who are eager to find a replacement for an aging Luis Suarez, appear to be interested in him and his agent earlier confirmed it.
Diego Godin recently heaped praise on his teammate while likening him to national teammate Suarez and Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero.
“Lautaro is similar to Luis [Suarez] and Sergio Aguero,” Godin told ESPN.
“He’s learning to play using his whole body, with his back to the ball. He’s a football player.
“His confidence has a high ceiling and he’s maturing with every match. You can spot things in him that tells you he’ll be around for 10 or 15 years.”
