All the matches will be completed within 5 weeks which means on 19th July the season is being hoped to be completed.

Matches will be played behind closed doors although, La Liga has asked that the fans upload a recording of cheering of their team which will then be played out during the 20th minutes of their respective team’s matches.

Javier Tebas said: “Supporters in the stands make football complete but now, due to reasons beyond their control, they won’t be able to be there.”

“We have created this initiative to help fans be a part of La Liga’s return and also as an opportunity for them to show their support for the heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic. We want them to feel close to their team, even if they cannot be in the stadiums cheering them on, and for players to feel the support of their fans.”

La Liga along with other leagues was suspended due to the pandemic as the world tried to battle the spread of COVID-19.

With rate of infection slowing down Spain Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez gave permission for restart of Football in a public address.

Teams have been training for a while now in groups and now starting from Today teams will be allowed to train as a team.

La Liga will follow Bundesliga which returned earlier this month with Premier League to restart on 17th June and Serie A on 20th June.

Which will mean four of the top five European Leagues will complete their respective season with Ligue 1 being the only league to end their season early.
