La Liga | FC Barcelona 4-1 Huesca – Player Ratings, Messi gets a 10

After getting eliminated in the Champions League, FC Barcelona faced Huesca at Camp Nou in a very special night for Leo Messi.

The Argentine reached Xavi Hernandez’s 767 official matches for the Catalan club. He celebrated in style with an impressive goal from outside of the box to open the scoreboard.

It didn’t take long for the rest of his teammates to get into the groove of the game. Jordi Alba sent a potent shot to the bar and then the post, he was dangerously close to Barcelona’s second goal.

However, Antoine Griezmann was the man who got that honor with a beautiful finish. In a similar fashion to Messi, his shot plunged into the top corner from outside of the box. But Huesca had a small surprise for us before half-time.

Right before the break, Mir got a penalty awarded after a clear foul from Ter Stegen. He took the shot and scored one for Huesca right before the break.

During the second half, all those hopes to get a good result crumbled for Huesca after Oscar Mingueza’s impressive header. It happened during a corner-kick where Messi sent a clinical cross to the heart of the box.

The Catalan defender jumped in the air to connect with the ball, a beautiful header. Messi’s left foot got the fourth and final goal with another shot from a distance.

Despite Huesca’s attempts to get another goal, they weren’t able to find it against a pragmatic FC Barcelona.
