Barcelona will be looking to increase their lead at the top to 5 points again as they host Leganes at the Camp Nou.
La Liga is back in action in the weekdays as Barcelona face Leganes at home. League leaders last week beat RCD Mallorca 4-0 with two assists and a goal from Lionel Messi as he reached 20 league goals for 12th consecutive season. Vidal, Alba and Braithwaite were also on target for the Barca as Braithwaite scored his first goal for the club.
He will be facing his old team Leganes today on Matchday 29 of the La Liga. Leganes are currently embroiled in a relegation battle as they sit at 19th position on table tied on with last placed Espanyol at just 23 points.
Barcelona have not lost a match at Camp Nou for over a year now but it could be tough match as a victory for Leganes will see them get out of relegation zone provided Mallorca lost their game.
Barcelona have won seven games against them and just lost a game last season.
Barcelona Team News and Predicted Line Up
Barcelona don’t have any injury or suspension worries as Suarez last week returned from injury and played for almost half-hour even providing Messi with an assist. Clement Lenglet also returns from a suspension and will be looking to start beside Pique at the back.
Ousmane Dembele is the only player out injured and Alba will miss the match due to card accumulation.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen will be at goalkeeper position with Semedo, Pique, Lenglet and Firpo in defence.
Busquets will be the midfielder in the center flanked by Frenkie de Jong and Melo.
Lionel Messi will retain his position on the right-wing, but we might see Antoine Griezmann replaced by Suarez, who is now match-fit. As for Martin Braithwaite, the 29-year old might get another start.
Leganes Team News and Predicted Line Up
Javier Aguirre goes into this fixture with the one injury problem in the form of Alexander Szymanowski, who is expected to be out for the entirety of the campaign with a knee injury. It is far from a major loss for the club, though.
We expect Aguirre to make no changes from the game against Valladolid, with Guido Carrillo touted to keep his spot as the lone striker in a 4-4-1-1, with Rodriguez likely to operate in a free role behind him.
Roberto and Rodrigues will play as wide midfielders in a four-man midfield, pushing up as wingers while Roque Mesa and Ibrahim Amadou play as the double pivot in the middle of the park.
Bustinza will captain the team from right-back with Jonathan providing width from the left-hand side.
Awaziem and Omeruo will pair up at the heart of defence, while screening Ivan Cuellar.
