Uncertainty surrounding Jadon Sancho’s future continues to grow despite the recent talks of Borussia Dortmund remaining confident over retaining the forward.
One of the hottest prospects in world football, 20-year old Sancho has been heavily linked with making a Premier League return after this season with Manchester United and Liverpool seemingly interested in him.
The newly-crowned Premier League champions, however, recently missed out on Timo Werner due to the pandemic reportedly putting them in a financial crisis. This suggests they will miss out on Sancho, who is valued at around €110 million, too.
Jurgen Klopp recently confirmed it saying it would come as a surprise to him if the young Englishman arrives at Anfield this summer.
“A red jersey would look very good on Jadon,” Klopp told BILD. “But I don’t think such a transfer will take place this summer.
“He is a very interesting player. If he moved to Liverpool, I would be the most surprised of all!
“This team doesn’t need a change. I cannot promise that we will dominate football now, nor do I know if it is time to talk about major upheavals. But I know that our goal is to keep the team together.”
