Kang Dong-Won talked about the unusual outfit he wore at the press conference for his movie “The Plot.”
On the morning of the 24th, Kang Dong-Won, who appeared in the film “The Plot” (directed by Lee Yo-Sup), was interviewed at a cafe by a Korean news media outlet.
From his introduction to the film to director Lee Yoseop’s witty remarks about Kang Dong-Won as a “handsome man,” there were many things that were talked about, one of which was Kang Dong-Won’s unconventional fashion.
He wore a leopard halter neck, which was covered by a jacket, but both of his collarbones were visible.
“The staff said it was the prettiest outfit I’ve ever worn, and they said, ‘Is this worth it?'” he said, making us laugh.
“I convinced them that people wouldn’t know if I didn’t wear the jacket, so I wore it. You don’t know what you’re looking at, but it sparks your imagination. It was like a show costume,” he explained.
“I was so disgusted with myself because I was working out a lot and my body was getting bigger. But it was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. You can imagine. I just wore it and got my hair and make-up done,” he laughs.
As a former model, he might be expected to take pride in his fashion, but “it’s not that,” he says, explaining that “it’s the same with films, I like new things, new clothes.”
“I’m not really into fashion these days, so I listen to people’s opinions. I try to follow what they say is okay,” he said, adding, “If I’m not going to wear something prettier for a show, I’ll wear it as it is. It’s hard to mix things up in Korea due to the weather,” he explained.
Meanwhile, “The Plot,” starring Kang Dong-Won, is a film about Young-Il (Kang Dong-Won), an architect who manipulates a commissioned murder into a perfect accidental death and is caught up in unexpected events.
The movie is set to release in theaters on May 29.
