Diego Simeone would be hoping Joao Felix is not out for an extended period on the sidelines.
Injuries have not been kind to the 20-year-old since his big money move to Spain last summer.
So far this season, Felix has managed six goals and two assists in 28 appearances for Los Rojiblancos but those numbers could have been more if not for injuries.
In yet another sad news for the youngster, the forward now faces a race against time to be fit for when La Liga resumes in about two weeks from now.

A statement on Atletico Madrid’s website read: “João Felix has suffered a low grade medial collateral ligament left knee sprain. This was confirmed by tests he underwent at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. The Portuguese international is pending response to treatment.”
There is no known duration about the time he’s set to miss but it’s more than likely he could be out for a couple of weeks.
Atletico would be hoping Felix recovers in time to play some part of the remainder of their season.
Simeone’s men currently sit sixth in La Liga but there is hope for a top four finish as they are only one point behind and with a relatively easy schedule too.
