Ji Soo’s Former Agency Ordered to Pay 1.4 Billion Won to “River Where the Moon Rises” Production Company

Actor Ji Soo exited drama mid-production due to school violence allegations.

Victory Contents won a damages lawsuit against KeyEast, with the court ordering KeyEast to pay about 1.42 billion won plus delayed interest.

Ji Soo faced allegations of school violence while starring in “River Where the Moon Rises” and left the drama after admitting to the allegations.

The production company had to reshoot with actor Na In-woo, resulting in significant losses.

Victory Contents filed a lawsuit against KeyEast in April 2021 for 3 billion won due to additional production costs and actor fees from reshooting.

KeyEast responded expressing regret and promising to resolve the issue.

Ji Soo terminated his contract with KeyEast in May 2021, ceased broadcasting activities, and later sued the initial accuser and commenters for defamation in July 2021.

Ji Soo enlisted in the military in October 2021, served as a public service worker, and was discharged in October last year.

Ji Soo clarified that he had resolved misunderstandings with the original accuser regarding school violence allegations.
