Jeon Yeo Been has been cast as the lead role in the occult film “Black Nuns.”
Jeon Yeo Been recently confirmed her casting in the film and is preparing for her first shoot. Along with Song Hye Kyo, who was previously cast in the film, Jeon is expected to showcase her deep warmth in ‘Black Nuns’.
The female version of “Black Priests” (directed by Jang Jae Hyun), which opened in November 2015 to 5.44 million viewers and became the best film of the Korean occult genre, is gaining early film buzz.
While ‘Black Priests’ tells the story of two priests who enter a mysterious case to save a girl in danger, ‘Black Nuns’ is expected to differentiate itself by bringing the story of an exorcising nun to the forefront.
In particular, Jeon Yeo Been, who showed her monstrous performance in “Sinful Girl” (18, directed by Kim Eui-seok) and has since grown into a popular actress with films such as “Night in Paradise” (directed by Park Hoon Jung) and “Cobweb” (directed by Kim Ji Woon), is set to break new ground with “Black Nuns,” challenging the authentic occult genre for the first time since her debut.
Meanwhile, ‘Black Nuns’ is currently finalising casting for the main and supporting roles and is scheduled to begin production in the first half of next year.
