James Rodriguez signed a six-year deal with Real Madrid in a move that saw him became the most expensive Colombian player.
Rodriguez continued to keep up with his top-notch form until injuries started hampering his performances.
Zinedine Zidane‘s arrival saw him slowly lose his place in the squad before eventually being loaned out to Bayern Munich in 2017.
He has struggled to find his feet ever since. This season, James has played just seven times in La Liga and scored only once.
Carlos Valderrama believes the 28-year old is still good enough to play in any team and should leave Real Madrid.
“James is big enough to make his own decisions now. If it was me, I’d be running away from Madrid,” Valderrama told Caracol Radio.
“He’s good enough to play for any team. I wouldn’t doubt for an instant. He’s a great player, he’s already proved it. He can start for any other team.
“He’s got the quality to play anywhere in the world.”
