Wilfred Ndidi insists he is a different player to N’Golo Kante, who he hailed as a ‘machine’.
The Nigeria international was signed by the Foxes from Genk in January 2017 to fill the huge void left by Kante, who left for Chelsea.
Ndidi has done something in similar fashion for Leicester since his arrival, being a work-house in midfield and breaking opposition attacks throughout the game.
Ndidi is happy to be compared to Kante but sees himself as different and simply a player of his own quality.
“I’ve always seen myself as Ndidi, I want to be seen as Ndidi,” the Super Eagles midfielder said in an Instagram live video quoted by Goal.
“Kante is a great player, if you see the way he plays, you’ll know he’s a machine.”
“The advice I got right from the time while I was playing that position is just be yourself.”
“Every player has his own quality, it’s not everybody that can be like Ronaldo or Messi, everybody has his own way.”
“I just want to be myself, play my game and fight for three points.”
