Mauro Icardi has strongly been linked with a summer move to Juventus after recent reports of PSG reportedly terminating his contract.
His partner and agent, Wanda Nara, has now fueled those rumors after her recent comments.
And Wanda was quick to respond, saying she would rather have anything happen to her in Italy, with the country being her ‘home’.
“I didn’t take the kids into the heart of the pandemic, as Maxi knows full well that we live in a small village outside Como, where there have been very few cases,” she told magazine Chi as quoted by Football-Italia.
“This is my home, whereas in Paris we only rented a place and the lease was expiring. I feel safer in Italy than in Argentina. We are Italian now, so if something does happen to me, I’d prefer it to be in my home.
“Italy is our country, as it has given us all the wonderful parts of our lives. I could’ve flown to Argentina, but instead we hired two cars – one for Mauro, one for me – and divided up the kids so we could travel 750km for nine and a half hours, never stopping until we got home.
“It would’ve been riskier for us to go to Argentina, so Maxi ought to be happy I’m taking such good care of the children. I also consulted a pediatrician before making the move.”
Wanda Nara’s statements tally with reports of Icardi stating his desire to secure a Serie A return.
