India will face Tajikistan in their first match in 2019 Intercontinental Cup on Sunday.
Indian head coach Igor Stimac who managed the team which finished 3rd in the King’s Cup 2019 held in Thailand has his second assignment on hand.
India are grouped with Tajikistan, DPR Korea and Syria.
The Croatian head coach has named a 25-member squad for the competition which will start on Sunday at the Transstadia Ahmedabad.
Stimac stated that,
“All players worked really hard at the preparatory camp in Mumbai.”
“We are satisfied with the execution of work for the past ten days. The players worked really hard, and we are all very enthusiastic about our upcoming games,”
he added.
The squad will be further reduced to 23 members prior to the tournament’s kick-off.
India are the defending champions having defeated Kenya in the previous edition of the cup.
