“I Openly Dream of Cinderella” is a new upcoming kdrama created by Baek Mi Kyung the woman behind hit kdrama such as Strong Girl Bong Soon (2017), The Lady in Dignity (2017) and Mine (2021). The kdrama is being directed by Kim Min Kyung, who has shown empathetic comedy through “Comedy Big League” and “SNL Korea.” The script has been written by Yoo Ja, a newcomer.

“I Openly Dream of Cinderella” is a romantic comedy about a woman who dreams of becoming Cinderella due to difficulties in her life and wants to escape from her harsh reality. She meets a knight in shining armor (‘prince of a chaebol family) who does not believe in love as they draw closer to each other and help each other through their difficulties. (1)

Pyo Ye Jin and Lee Jun Young Are Confirmed To Star In TVING's Rom-com Kdrama

Pyo Ye Jin will star as Shin Jae Rim who takes a job as a social club manager with the sole purpose of finding his Prince. She is a 21st-century Cinderella who gradually embraces her life and grows stronger to claim her love, breaking away from the past of being dependent on others and longing for love.

Pyo Ye Jin has shown her wide range of acting skills through kdramas such as Taxi Driver (2021-23), V.I.P (2019), and Fight for My Way (2017). She is set to star as Kang Young Hwa / Han Ri Ta in “The Moon that Rises in the Day” this year.

Lee Jun Young will play the role of Moon Cha Min, the arrogant prince of a chaebol family and head of a social club who doesn’t trust people. Moon Cha Min is a stone-cold man who has no interest in women or love, until he becomes entangled with the newest member of the club, Shin Jae Rim (Pyo Ye Jin), and realizes his true feelings.

Lee Jun Young has show a strong screen presence with his work in Imitation (2021), D.P (2021), Let Me Be Your Knight (2021), and May I Help You (2022). His upcoming projects include Brave Citizen (2023), You Have Done Well (2025), Royal Loader, and The Wilderness among others.
