Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is happy to have both Marco Asensio and Eden Hazard be fit and ready to play in the La Liga restart.
Real Madrid had to go through the better part of the 2019/20 campaign so far in the absence of two of their most prized assets, Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio.
The Belgian international has had a troublesome debut season at the Spanish capital with recurring injuries preventing him to get used to his new surroundings.
The Spaniard, on the other hand, is yet to feature this term after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury in a pre-season friendly.
But the three-month-long coronavirus enforced break has done either of the players a great deal of favor as they have recovered in time to participate in the remainder of their side’s campaign.
Zinedine Zidane, speaking in the pre-match press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s clash against Eibar, informed that both the players are available for the return of La Liga.
Zidane said: “The good thing is they had the same time to prepare as the rest of the team.
“Asensio’s injury was a bit more serious and required longer rehabilitation, but both are available. They’ll be there for the team to help us and it’s good news to have them back.”
“On Hazard, I’m happy he’s back and fully fit. He has re-joined the group and he can play and help us.”
