Go Doo Shim and Soo Hyun (Claudia Kim) Join The Cast Of “Although I Am Not a Hero”

Jang Ki Yong, Chun Woo Hee, Go Doo Shim, and Soo Hyun will join forces as a superpowered family like you’ve never seen before.

JTBC’s new drama “Although I Am Not a Hero” announced the casting news on the 6th, saying that Go Doo Shim and Soo Hyun will be joining Jang Ki Yong and Chun Woo Hee in the kdrama.

Jang Ki Yong will play the role of “Bok Gwi Joo,” a man who has lost the ability to travel back in time only to happy times due to depression.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve done a drama, so I’m half excited and half looking forward to it,” said Jang Ki Yong, who chose “Although I Am Not a Hero” as his first k-drama after being discharged from the military.

Chun Woo Hee plays Do Da Hae, a suspicious woman who appears in front of the supernatural family.

Go Doo Shim will play the role of Bok Man Hee, the head of the Bok family, who has insomnia and has the ability to have precognitive dreams.

Finally, Soo Hyun portrays Bok Dong Hee, the newest member of the Bok family who focuses on her psychic abilities. Bok Dong Hee is a charming woman who never knows where she’ll end up, and has the ability to “fly,” though her obesity prevents her from flying.

“Although I Am Not a Hero” is a fantasy romance drama about a man who has the extraordinary ability to go back in past but has never been able to save anyone. Until a he meets a woman who he is finally able to save her from her fate and thus begins a funny and heartwarming story as she starts living with this supernatural family.

The kdrama will be directed by Jo Hyun Taek who previously worked on hit dramas SKY Castle (2018) and Snowdrop (2021) and it will be written by Joo Hwa Mi, the writer behind works such as Introverted Boss (2017), Marriage, Not Dating (2014) and Meow, the Secret Boy (2020).
