Veteran goalkeeper Buffon could yet be extending his contract at Juve in the summer, as per reports.
The Italian returned to Juventus after spending a year in France with PSG. Since re-signing for the Bianconeri, he has had to make do with the role of a second fiddle to a much younger Wojciech Szczesny.
Buffon’s current contract with Juve expires in the summer and Corriere della Sera newspaper h/t by Football-Italia claim the goalkeeper is ready to extend his contract until 2021.
At the age of 42, Buffon doesn’t have much playing time left in him and it is already rumored he could be hanging his boots in the nearest future.
The veteran goalkeeper has seen an illustrious career with both country and club but is yet to win the Champions League, despite his success all over Europe.
Buffon has only managed 11 appearances for Juventus in all competitions this season, keeping three clean sheets and conceding nine goals in the process.
