On the 23rd, tvN’s new Kdrama “Marry My Husband,” which is set to premiere next year, released the first stills of Park Min Young, who plays Kang Ji Won in the drama, showing off her new look.
Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Marry My Husband” is a full-fledged fate-making drama in which a woman who was murdered after witnessing her best friend’s affair with her husband is sent back in time 10 years to experience a second chance at life in order to bring back the fate she deserves.
In the tv series, Kang Ji Won is an ordinary Korean woman who spends her days dealing with an incompetent husband, dismissive in-laws, and a demanding corporate life.
She has spent her life putting up with things at home and at work because she thinks of others more than herself, and she doesn’t even know that she has become someone surrounded by people who think that showing favours is a right.
However, what awaits her at the end is an affair between her husband Park Min Hwan (Lee Yi Kyung), her only family, and her only friend Jung Soo Min (Song Ha Yoon), and cancer at her prime age.
In the newly released photos, Kang Ji Won is captured in a very different light. The patient’s clothes, hat, unusually thin face, and pale complexion make the viewer feel realistic about the situation of Kang Ji Won on the verge of regression, who is crumbling under the weight of her hard battle and exhausting life.
The producers of “Marry My Husband” said, “Park Min Young spared no effort in many ways to realistically portray the setting of a cancer patient. Everyone was surprised at the scene.”
Marry My Husband is set to start airing from January 1, 2024.
