Fernandes joined Manchester United in the January transfer window and made an instant impact with three goals and four assists in nine appearances in all competitions.
The 25-year-old already revealed he took advice from his compatriot Ronaldo before making the move to Old Trafford.
It made sense considering both players had the same path in switching from Sporting Lisbon to starring for the Red Devils.
But Fernandes has now revealed that Ronaldo still keeps in touch with him even after his move and continues to give him insight on how to succeed in England.
“Cristiano [Ronaldo] had an active voice when asked about the possibility of me coming to play here,” Fernandes told ESPN Brasil.
“He praised me, as far as I know. ‘That is what Mister Solskjaer says. Cristiano recently sent me a message asking if I was OK, if my adaptation was going well and everything.”
“He is a person that I consider a lot. He is a childhood friend. ‘Being able to talk to him, having his advice and being able to play in the national team with him are spectacular things.”
