Edinson Cavani could join Inter Milan this summer

The 33-year-old had grown out of favor with PSG and has only seen a relaxed role this season due to the arrival of Mauro Icardi on loan.

Cavani was linked to the likes of Chelsea and Atletico in the January window but none of those moves failed to materialize.

Relibale Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio now claims San Siro could be the next destination for the Uruguayan.

Antonio Conte is reportedly in search of an experienced forward who would be willing to play back-up to Romelu Lukaku. With Dries Mertens now set to stay at Napoli, the Italian has set his sights on Cavani to fill that role.

The 33-year-old has plenty of Serie A experience, having played for Palermo and then Napoli until his €64m switch to PSG in 2013.

Cavani will be a free agent in June and Antonio Conte has already moved in early to convince the striker to join.

Inter could yet lose another forward in Lautaro Martinez and it would be wise for the Nerazzurri to prepare some sort of replacement ahead.

Surprisingly, Inter has already been advised to make a move for Cavani earlier in the season.
