Cristiano Ronaldo trains with Obikwelu during his break in Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated his 34th birthday earlier this year but he shows no signs of slowing down.

In his first season in Italy, he helped the Old Lady win the Serie A title and the Supercoppa Italia.

He scored 28 goals in all competitions for Juventus.

Then helped his Country lift the UEFA Nations League this summer with him scoring a Hat-trick in the semi-finals.

Ronaldo has still maintained an excellent shape by working extremely hard well into his 30s.

Yet another example of Ronaldo’s dedication was posted on social media this weekend.

The Portuguese superstar is back in his country and has been training with fellow countryman Francis Obikwelu.

Obikwelu is a former sprinter who brought home a silver medal at the Athens Olympics in 2004.

Ronaldo posted the video below.

It just goes to show how hard Ronaldo works to be the best.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi

It is that dedication that has seen Ronaldo compete with Lionel Messi for the best player in the world.

Many of Ronaldo’s teammates have previously told stories of his dedication towards maintaining his physical shape.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Matuidi

Blaise Matuidi his teammate at Juventus also had one of the stories to share.

“We came back from Manchester by plane and we were very tired,”

Matuidi explained.

“The next morning, I found him in the gym and he told me that he had to keep working. ‘He is 33-years-old, but he is really an example.”

“It’s just fabulous, a real example. When I see him I understand that there are no shortcuts in football.”

As Ronaldo has famously said

“Talent without hardwork is nothing”.
