“Ronaldo and team manager Maurizio Sarri wanted to thank them in person, but COVID-19 restrictions made this impossible.”
What a wonderful gesture.
According to The Sun, groups of doctors from Cuba have been deployed across the world – to 35 different countries – to help tackle coronavirus.
Some were sent to Turin as the city was hit particularly hard by the outbreak and those are the ones Ronaldo has sent signed shirts to.
But that’s not the only positive thing CR7 has done during the pandemic.
He also forgo £3.8m in wages to help Juventus stay afloat and also teamed up with agent Jorge Mendes to donate £1m to hospitals in Portugal to fight the virus.
