Cristiano Ronaldo could be playing his final season at Juventus

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo’s importance to the team is beyond measure.

He topped the team’s goal scoring charts in their previous two Serie A triumphs and is their leading goals corer this season despite missing several matches.

However, the five-time Champions League winner was bought by Juve for a specific purpose and is yet to deliver in that department.

The Bianconeri have been enjoying Scudetto successes for a long time now and it is in the Champions League that they have struggled, and CR7’s presence in the team has not helped their European dream.

Spanish publication Sport claims that the Italian giants are now preparing to part ways with their star player.

Juve do not intend to hand Ronaldo a contract extension and are planning on putting him on the transfer market next summer, a year before his current deal ends in June 2022, according to the report.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid man’s hefty €31 million yearly salary is also a driving force behind the club’s decision to sell him, with finance being tight in times of crisis.

Juventus are hoping to recoup a major chunk of their €100 million investment on Ronaldo, whose leadership and attitude is also being called into question lately.
