Real Madrid lost the La Liga lead to Barcelona after their 2-1 loss to Real Betis yesterday.
Karim Benzema’s penalty wasn’t enough as goals from Sidnei and Cristian Tello help Betis to a 2-1 win.
Speaking after the match, former Barcelona player was really proud of himself having and over the moon having helped his team after a bad run of form.
As per Marca, he told: “We came into the game in a bad way in terms of wins. And Beating a team like Real Madrid in front of our fans is a proud moment for us.
“It’s been a very competitive season.
Real Betis now prepare to go against third-placed Sevilla. And Tello feels victory against Real Madrid will have a massive confidence boost going into the next game.
“We’re going into it with lots of confidence,” he added.
“The team needed a win like this. It gives us lots of confidence to go to Sevilla’s stadium and really leave our mark.”
