Serie A side Torino has announced that one of their players tested positive today for coronavirus. The news comes only two days after lockdown restrictions were eased on football clubs.
As part of the measures to resume training at the club’s facilities, each and every player and member of staff must be tested for the coronavirus.
Torino took to their official website to confirm the positive test results and the action they are taking.
The statement read:
“After an initial medical examination, one of our players has tested positive for COVID-19.”
“The player, currently asymptomatic, has been immediately quarantined and will be constantly monitored in the upcoming days.”
