Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is hoping to win the Premier League with Arsenal
Ever since Arsene Wenger put an end to his 22-year reign at the club, success at Arsenal became quite infrequent.
Wenger helped the team to an impressive 17 pieces of silverware, including seven FA Cup trophies and three Premier League titles, and only once since his retirement in 2018 has a trophy arrived at the Emirates.
It was Mikel Arteta, who replaced Unai Emery at the helm midway in the 2019/20, who guided his former side to FA Cup glory in his debut managerial season.
Arteta’s appointment has seen a significant improvement in the team in terms of their performance on the pitch as well as the mood in the dressing room.
Arsenal now look quite ambitious, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has set his sights on winning the league title.
Aubameyang told Sky Sports: “Hopefully win a league. I think this is very easy to answer but for sure, yeah, I need to win the league but I still have work to do and I feel far from those legends, but at the same time, I know that I can reach it.
“I think everyone has one goal – to go forward and bring back the club to where it belongs. When you win trophies, you want to win more trophies and this is what it’s about. “
